Sterling Grey’s Compendium does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There is no analytics, no advertising, no user accounts, and no tracking of any kind. That is the entire policy. Everything below simply explains why there is nothing more to say.
What the app never does
- Collect, store, or transmit personal information
- Run analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting that identifies you
- Show advertising or share anything with advertisers
- Require an account, a login, or an email address
- Track what you read, search for, or listen to
Searching runs entirely on your device. What you look for is never sent anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to go.
Apple Music
Album artwork and preview clips are served by Apple Music. When you play a preview or view artwork, your interaction with Apple Music is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not this one. Nothing about that interaction is received, retained, or transmitted by me.
Purchases
Catalog purchases are processed entirely by Apple. Payment information never reaches me and I never see it. The app records only whether a catalog is unlocked or locked. That record lives on your device and in your Apple Account, which is what allows Restore Purchases to bring your catalogs back on a new device.
Your data rights
There is nothing to request, correct, or delete, because nothing about you is held. Deleting the app removes everything it ever stored on your device. Your record of what you have purchased stays with your Apple Account, where Apple holds it and you control it.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, and that includes children. Nothing is gathered, no account is required, and there is no way for a child using the app to disclose anything to me.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. The app will not begin collecting data without this page saying so first.

It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any artist, band, record label, or their representatives, and it is not connected to any television or radio programme. Artist and album names are used only to identify the recordings the work documents. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
